Steffanie is a Chicago-based contemporary artist whose work spans text-driven compositions and abstract mixed media. Through language, texture, color, and dimension, her work explores nostalgia, intimacy, and the quiet rituals of everyday life; creating pieces that feel both personal and familiar.
Coming from a lineage of artists, Steffanie grew up surrounded by the work of her mother and grandparents in Iowa. Their influence instilled an appreciation for process, craftsmanship, and the emotional connection a piece of art can carry.
Working primarily with wood, acrylic, and canvas, Steffanie’s practice ranges from dimensional, language-based works to layered abstracts and fluid compositions. Her abstract work explores the organic movement of color and material, allowing each piece to develop intuitively. Across each medium, her work is rooted in creating a sense of connection within a space.
Steffanie has sold hundreds of original works and commissions to collectors throughout the United States and Canada. She regularly collaborates with interior designers, homeowners, and businesses to create custom work for private residences, restaurants, and commercial spaces.
At the heart of Steffanie’s work is a belief that art can hold a memory, define a space, and make the familiar feel new again.
